Traditional Craftsmanship

The O'Leary family of the Maharees, Co.Kerry have a long history of Currach building.

Monty's grandfather was a currach builder and a local pilot steering vessels into the safety of Tralee Bay and Fenit Harbour.

The family continue to build Currachs using traditional methods and with exceptional craftsmanship.
